Scan2Skin 3D: a skin from photos
Take five photos of a person, or pick them from your computer, and the tool draws a pixel-art player skin for Java Edition and Bedrock Edition: the face, the hair and skin tone, glasses, and the clothes and their patterns. You see it on a 3D model and can fix details in the pixel editor before you save the PNG.

Block Texture Studio: textures, skins and mobs
Block Texture Studio is a paint program made for the small pixel art of the game. It has three parts:
- Textures: paint 16 x 16 block and item textures, start from the real ones in your own game files, animate them frame by frame, and build a resource pack for Java Edition.
- Skins: paint a player skin on a 3D player or on the flat file, both layers, with Classic or Slim arms.
- 3D Entities: build a mob out of boxes, paint it, animate it on a timeline, and save it as a Bedrock add-on or a Blockbench model.
Which one do I need?
To turn a real person into a skin, start with Scan2Skin 3D. To draw a skin by hand, change one you already have, or make textures and mobs, use Block Texture Studio. A skin made with Scan2Skin 3D opens in the studio's Skins tab, so you can use both: the photos for the likeness, the studio for the finishing touches.
Make a skin now, in your browser: five guided photos with the camera, or photos already taken. Nothing is uploaded. The Scan2Skin 3D app for iPhone and Android adds scan yourself, HD skins and Pro.
