About Scan2Skin 3D and Z Farm Technologies

Who makes Scan2Skin 3D, what it does with your photos (they never leave your device), what it does not do, and how to contact us.

Updated October 12, 2026

Scan2Skin 3D turns photos of a person into a pixel-block player skin: the face drawn as pixel art, and the clothes, hair, glasses and headphones read from the photos. The skins work with Minecraft: Java Edition and Bedrock Edition. It is made by Z Farm Technologies, a small independent developer, and runs as an app for iPhone and Android phones and on this website.

What it does

What it does not do

Privacy in one paragraph

The face and body analysis runs on Google's MediaPipe models on the device itself. Only the finished skin is kept, under My skins, on your device: in the app's own storage on a phone, and in this site's storage in your browser on the website. The website shows ads from Google AdSense and the apps show ads from Google AdMob, all non-personalized and requested for child-directed treatment, and none in the apps with Pro. The details are in the privacy policy and the terms of use.

Why we made it

Drawing a skin of yourself pixel by pixel is fun, but hard to get right: a face of 8 x 8 pixels does not leave much room. We wanted a tool that gets the colors and proportions right from a few photos and leaves the fun part, the fixing and decorating, to you, without sending anyone's photos anywhere.
