A costume is one of the easiest outfits to turn into a skin: bold colors, big shapes and a clear idea. Wear it for the photos, and Scan2Skin 3D draws it as pixel art like any other clothes. A few things make the difference between a costume that reads well and one that turns into a blur.

Costumes that read well

Costume tops on the outer layer

A two-layer scan puts a costume piece on the outer layer, so it can come off in the game: take the first photos without the costume top, cloak or jacket, and the second photos with it on. In Java Edition each player can hide the outer layer; for Bedrock, the downloads include a version without it. See the two-layer photos.

Safety

Only scan people who agree, and ask a parent before scanning a child. The photos stay on the device and are deleted when the capture ends.
